This highly detailed Boddhisattva (one who follows the teachings of Buddha) sits in the traditional lotus position. A Bodhisattva is a person who strives for total enlightenment and to become a Buddha by helping others to find enlightenment and become a Buddha as well. Hands are in motion, with the left hand in the Jnana Mudra (position) of teaching. The right hand is in the receiving position.
